We welcome enquiries from community groups who might find a home in Gyle Community Space for their activities. The best way to do this is to contact Esther the Manager for a chat however, here’s a snapshot of how we generally do things.
Eligible groups
We work with charitable and community groups and sometimes other organisations if they are holding a free event for the benefit of the community.
Opening Times
We are generally open when Gyle Shopping Centre Mall is open. Mon - Fri 9am-8pm, Sat 9am-6pm, Sun 10am-6pm. Please check the calendar for availability.
Costs
We ask for donations to cover our costs. Recommended donations are £25 per hour for large groups, £15 per hour for small groups and £100 per day. However, if you can’t afford that, please do get in touch. We don’t want to exclude groups because of cost.
Access
Groups can get a set of keys for access to the space via the Security Office for Gyle Shopping Centre.
Storage
There is a small amount of storage available for groups. You can keep a box with refreshments, banners and small pieces of equipment with us in between sessions.
Facilities
We have kettles, a hot water flask, extension cables, a flip chart stand and a portable screen available for groups to use free of charge.
